Industrial Cleaner
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Pay Rates:
- PAYE: £13.00 per hour
- Umbrella: £16.19 per hour
- Overtime: Time and a half after 40 hours
Hours:
- 6:00am – 6:00pm (12-hour shifts)
- Rota Pattern: Weekly rotating shift
Example: Thursday & Friday, then alternative Saturday/Sunday each week
Followed by Monday–Wednesday shifts and 7 days off
Overtime and additional shifts available on non-rota days
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for Industrial Cleaners to join our client's dedicated team in Maidstone. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with previous industrial cleaning experience to work in a structured, safety-focused environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out cleaning operations across the Facility
- Respond efficiently to duty cleaning supervisor instructions
- Operate specialist site equipment including forklifts, jet washers, vacuuming equipment, and other cleaning tools
- Follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks effectively and safely
- Help minimise health & safety risks and environmental impact (e.g. odour, dust, noise)
- Contribute positively to a strong team culture and continuous improvement efforts
- Attend and contribute to training, inductions, and supervisor-led development discussions
- Carry out additional duties as required by your line manager
What We’re Looking For
- Previous industrial cleaning experience (essential)
- Valid CSCS card and Confined Spaces certificate (essential)
- Understanding of safe systems of work – e.g. plant isolations and safety docs (training provided)
- Forklift experience (preferred but not essential)
- Strong English communication skills – verbal and written
- Able to follow instructions and work independently
- Hardworking, reliable, and takes pride in their work
- Strong team player with a commitment to high standards
