Counterbalance Forklift Driver - Immediate Starts Available

The Best Connection Newcastle is recruiting experienced Counterbalance Forklift Drivers on behalf of a prestigious manufacturing client. This is an excellent Counterbalance Forklift Driver opportunity offering a genuine temp-to-perm position for the right candidate with a well-established company that values reliability, commitment, and teamwork.

The Role

As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, you will work across two local manufacturing sites in a varied, fast-paced role that combines FLT operation with warehouse and production support. This is not a role where you'll spend your entire shift in the cab you'll be actively involved in keeping operations running efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Line feeding to keep production running smoothly.
• Loading and unloading trailers using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
• Transporting stock safely between two local sites.
• Working both indoors and outdoors, so you must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Assisting with general warehouse and production duties as required.

Hours & Pay

• £14.57 per hour for all hours worked.
• 37.5 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday rotating three-shift pattern:
  • Early: 07:00 - 15:00
  • Back Shift: 15:00 - 23:00
  • Night Shift: 23:00 - 07:00

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence.
• Must hold Full UK Driving Licence (essential due to travel between two local sites).
• Previous experience in a similar manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment is essential.
• Comfortable working outdoors when required.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a busy team.
