Cook - Part Time (27 Hours per Week)

Pay Rate: £13.15 per hour

The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and experienced Cook to join a friendly care home team. This is a part-time role (27 hours per week), working on a rota basis between Monday and Sunday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. This is a temp to perm position for the right candidate.

About the Role

As the Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals for residents. You will be working independently in the kitchen, ensuring all meals meet dietary requirements and are prepared to a high standard.

This role forms part of a job share, so flexibility is essential to cover annual leave and absences when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook meals for residents
• Ensure all food hygiene and safety standards are maintained
• Manage stock and kitchen supplies appropriately
• Cater to special dietary needs where required
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar cooking role (care environment preferred)
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload
• Flexible approach to working hours and holiday cover
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards

Please note: This position is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check, which must be completed prior to starting work.
