The Best Connection are recruiting for a Machine Operator CNC to work in a busy facility in Chorley. 

A machine operator is in charge of operating the computer numerical control (CNC) machine. They produce machined parts according to established parameters and specifications. Performing inspections of components/ industrial machines and work areas. The operator also calibrates their machine prior to commencing work.

Day to day responsibilities

· Use machine on a daily production run

· Liaise with machine shop manager to ensure jobs are completed in time

· Clean work area and equipment as required

· General monitor and limited inspection of components to sure tolerance have not shifted from the required levels

· Ensure “first piece inspection” is requested from appropriate staff member

· Flame polishing of lenses from CNC routers

· Varied finishing tasks on components, such as de-burring/ drilling

· Complete relevant paper work for component traceability

Required Skills and Experience

· Inspecting products with a keen eye for detail

· Ability to inspecting production

· Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the company

· Be able to work under their own initiative

· Follow the component specification/ drawing as required

Hours of work 

Monday to Thursday 8am till 4.30pm Friday 8am till 1pm
