We are recruiting Cleaning Operatives / Commercial Cleaners to join a busy, fast-paced shopping mall in the heart of Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy working as part of a team and are looking for a role with the potential to become permanent.

Working within a busy retail and leisure environment, you will be multi-trained across several areas of the site, including the shopping mall, car parks and other communal facilities. This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on job and is happy to work across different areas depending on business needs.

With multiple shifts available, this is a great opportunity to join a professional cleaning team and develop your experience in commercial and retail cleaning.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties throughout the shopping mall and communal areas.
• Clean and maintain car parks, walkways and other designated areas.
• Keep floors, entrances, corridors, lifts and shared facilities clean, tidy and presentable.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste in line with site procedures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation at all times.
• Respond to cleaning requests and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for shoppers, visitors and staff.
• Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and correctly, following relevant health and safety procedures.
• Work flexibly across different areas of the site as part of a multi-skilled cleaning team.

Previous experience in commercial cleaning, retail cleaning, shopping centres, offices, hospitality or facilities management would be beneficial. However, candidates with the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
