Class 2 HGV Driver

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering products safely and professionally to customers across your designated area. You will play a key role in maintaining excellent customer service standards while ensuring all deliveries are completed efficiently and safely.

Vehicles are loaded by the warehouse team, allowing you to concentrate on completing your vehicle checks, securing your load, and carrying out your deliveries.

Duties Include:

• Start times 05:00 and 06:00
• Multi-drop deliveries
• Securing loads and operating straps on the vehicles
• Checking and completing delivery paperwork
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Adhering to all driving, safety, and compliance regulations

Please note that occasional manual handling may be required, so candidates must be comfortable undertaking physical work when necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience driving a 26-tonne Class 2 vehicle
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• No previous driving disqualifications
• Multi-drop delivery experience desirable but not essential
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach to work
