Class 2 Driver (Temp to Perm)

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading independent board and paper merchant for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join their growing team on a temp-to-perm basis.

The Role

• Monday to Friday working week
• Start times vary between 4:00am and 7:00am
• Driving a Class 2 curtainsider vehicle fitted with a tail lift
• Delivering board and paper products to commercial customers
• The majority of deliveries are FLT loaded and unloaded
• Occasional tail lift deliveries requiring use of a pump truck
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
• Completing all vehicle checks and delivery paperwork accurately

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
• Comfortable with occasional manual handling and pump truck use
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach

Pay & Benefits

Temporary Period

• £15.00 per hour

Permanent Employment

• £15.57 per hour
• Time and a half paid after 8 hours worked per day
• Monday to Friday work with no regular weekend requirement
