Combi / Spray Tanker Driver

Pay Rate: £15.00 - £22.50 per hour

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Combi/Spray Tanker Driver to join our growing team within the road surfacing sector based in the Carlisle area.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering a great pathway into a permanent position for the right candidate, with an immediate start available.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialist bitumen spraying equipment, ensuring the accurate and efficient application of bitumen emulsion across a range of road surfacing projects. This is a hands-on position where precision, safety, and teamwork are essential to delivering high-quality results.

No previous experience in this role is required, as full training can be provided. However, we are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Operate bitumen spray tanker equipment for road surfacing works

Apply bitumen emulsion in line with project specifications and standards

Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks

Maintain a high standard of health and safety at all times

Work collaboratively with site teams to complete projects efficiently

Ensure accurate coverage and application to support long-lasting surfaces

Skills and Experience Required

Full UK Class C (HGV) licence

Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card

Good knowledge of health and safety regulations

Strong attention to detail

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
