The Best Connection Reading is seeking a reliable Class 2 Driver / Warehouse Operator.

Location: Reading

Position: Full-Time, Temp to Perm!

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM - 17:00 PM

Pay: £17.30 per hour

The Role

We are seeking a versatile and proactive individual for a dynamic dual-purpose role. Split between the road and the warehouse, your time will be divided between multi-drop driving and hands-on warehouse operations as required.

Key Driving Duties:

• Conducting multi-drop deliveries.
• Checking load security and weight distribution at the start and end of each shift.
• Performing daily vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance.
• Loading and unloading the vehicles.
• Securing signed, dated, and prompt Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.

Key Warehouse Duties:

• Picking computer-generated orders involving repetitive manual handling of large and heavy items.
• Transferring stock efficiently using manual handling, forklift trucks, and cranes. (Training Provided)
• Assisting in the production and dispatch of customer orders.
• Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately for inventory control.

About You

• A valid Class 2 Licence
• A valid Driver CPC & Digital Tacho Card.
• Ideally, previous experience working in a busy warehouse environment utilizing Forklift Trucks, Cranes, or Material Handling equipment.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• An efficient, organized, and methodical approach to your workload.
