The Best Connection are looking to recruit HGV Class 2 (LGV C) Drivers to work with their client based in Felling, Gateshead. Our client is a leading name in the general haulage and waste sector. Although the role is heavy, there is a Drivers Mate to assist with loading and unloading the vehicle.

The Role:

• Collecting waste and electrials from local household recycling centers
• Collections include fridges, freezers, TV etc, so heavy lifting is involved
• Drivers Mate is provided to help load and unload the vehicle
• This is a customer-facing role, so professionalism and a friendly attitude are essential.

The Candidate:

• Must hold a valid UK Class 2 (LGV C) driving licence.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial Class 2 driving experience required.
• No more than 6 points on license.
• Smart appearance with a positive, customer-focused approach.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Friday shift pattern.
• 07:00 AM start time.
• £13.25 per hour (PAYE) Monday to Friday
• £19.87 per hour (PAYE) on weekends and bank holidays
