Class 1 HGV Driver - Accrington

£16.50 per hour | Minimum 8-hour shifts | Ongoing and adhoc work available

We are seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers for our client based in Accrington. This role offers consistent night work, confirmed start times, and a structured run involving multiple delivery points.

Role Overview

Drivers will be completing Class 1 trunking work with 3 drops, operating from Accrington to Haydock and surrounding locations on a set route. This is a timed run with pre‑planned deliveries and collections, allowing drivers to follow a clear and consistent schedule. All assignments are carried out in line with industry safety standards and company procedures.

Shift Information

• Start times between 17:00 and 20:00, depending on the operational plan
• Start times confirmed prior to booking, ensuring transparency and reliability
• Minimum 8 hours paid per shift
• Typically arranged as week‑long bookings, providing consistent work
• Adhoc shifts available for holiday, sickness, and peak‑period cover
• No manual loading required outside of standard trailer checks and paperwork

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of 2 years' Class 1 (C+E) experience
• Valid UK Class 1 licence, CPC, and Digi Card
• Good understanding of WTD and drivers' hours
• Strong reliability, communication skills, and professional conduct
