The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join a busy and well-established client based in Caldicot. This is a great opportunity for an experienced HGV driver looking for ongoing, full-time work with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period. You will be working within a general haulage operation, ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

Duties will include:

• Driving a Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicle
• Carrying out general haulage deliveries and collections
• Securing loads correctly and ensuring safe transport
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately
• Adhering to all driving laws and working time regulations
• Maintaining a professional manner at all times

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
• Previous general haulage experience preferred
• Good understanding of driver hours and regulations
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Good communication skills

£15.00 per hour
