The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Artic Tipper Drivers for a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity based in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for professional, tipper-trained drivers looking for long-term, stable work with a reputable operation.

Class 1 Driver - Job Details:

• You'll be driving modern bulker tipper vehicles, including Scania, Volvo and DAF trucks, transporting materials between sites while providing excellent customer service.

  Vehicles are fully equipped with fridge and microwave facilities for nights out.

  No two days are the same, making this a varied and rewarding role with the opportunity to regularly meet new customers.

  Full training is provided, including:
  * 2-day induction
  * Ongoing support and development

Class 1 Driver - Rates of pay:

• • Basic rate: £17.15 per hour
  • 45 hours guaranteed per week
  • Overtime (Mon-Fri after 45 hours): Time and a quarter = £21.44 per hour
  • Weekend rate: Time and a half = £25.73 per hour
  • Night out allowance: £25.00 per day
  • Based on a 60-hour working week, the potential earnings would be:
• • 45 hours @ £17.15 = £771.75
  • 10 hours @ £21.44 = £214.40
  • 6 hours @ £25.73 = £154.38
  • Night out = £100 x £25 per day
  Total potential weekly earnings: £1,240.53

Job description:

• General driving duties, observing current legal and best practice delivering and collection to/from the customer's premises or other locations
• Delivering products on behalf of the customer
• Use of electronic POD and up to date technology (full training provided if required)
• Assisting with loading and unloading if required
• Good communication and customer service

Requirements of the LGV/HGV Class 1 Driver

• A full UK C/C+E licence (essential)
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No previous disqualifications (DD,TT,DR,CD,IN)
• Good knowledge of drivers hours and WTD regulations
