Class 1 Driver - Birtley (Temp to Perm)

£15.00-£22.50 per hour | Monday-Friday | No Weekends

Our client based in Birtley has recently secured a prestigious new contract and is looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to support increased demand.

Job Details

• Mostly Class 2 work, with some Class 1 driving
• Palletised deliveries
• Multidrop work (approximately 8-10 drops per shift)
• Tail-lift deliveries using a pump truck
• North East deliveries to regular, repeat destinations

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 start time
• No weekend work

Pay

• £15.00 per hour (first 8 hours, PAYE)
• £22.50 per hour (after 8 hours, PAYE)
• Holiday accrued separately (not rolled into pay)
• Temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate

Driver Requirements

• Valid Class 1 Driver (C+E) licence
• Valid CPC
• Valid Digi-tachograph card
• Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience for insurance purposes
• Good knowledge of the North East preferred
• Reliable and professional approach
