The Best Connection are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Day Trunking Driver for our well-established client based in Swadlincote.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 driver looking for regular Monday-to-Friday work, a consistent route and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

The Role

• Class 1 trunking work.
• Monday to Friday.
• 06:00 start time.
• Regular set route.
• Long-distance trunking.
• Completing vehicle checks and relevant paperwork.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and professionally.
• Ongoing work with a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity.

Pay & Contract

• £17.00 per hour
• Monday to Friday.
• 06:00 start.
• 4-month initial temporary contract, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position.
• Immediate start available.

Driver Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Minimum 2 year's HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.
• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• A reliable and professional attitude.
• Good understanding of driver and vehicle safety requirements.
• Comfortable undertaking long-distance trunking work.
