HGV Class 1 Night Driver (C+E) - Derby - £17.51ph - New Contract

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Night Drivers (LGV C+E) to work on a brand new contract for a major logistics company based in Derby.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking for ongoing night work, high hourly rates, and clean trunking with no handball.

Pay Rates

• £17.51 per hour (Night shift)
• Overtime after 39 hours: £21.02 - £28.02 per hour
• Sunday rate: up to £35.03 per hour
• Paid breaks
• Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift

Shift Patterns

• Night shifts available
• Start times: Between 18:00-03:00
• Flexible working patterns:
• 4 on 4 off
• 5 on 3 off
• Full-time and ongoing work available

Duties - HGV Class 1 Driver

• Trunking work between Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs)
• Delivery routes to Amesbury and Treforest
• Curtain-sided trailers (no handball required)
• Pre-vehicle and trailer checks
• Load security checks
• Completion of delivery paperwork and driver debrief
• Compliance with Working Time Directive and Tachograph regulations

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) licence
• Driver CPC qualification card
• Digital tachograph card
• Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience
