The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers (C+E) for a leading transport and logistics company based in Birstall, West Yorkshire (WF17).

This is an excellent opportunity for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers, LGV CE Drivers, and General Haulage Drivers looking for ongoing, full-time work with competitive pay and regular day shifts.

The Role

As a Class 1 (C+E) Driver, your duties will include:

• Delivering goods across the UK on behalf of a well-established logistics operation
• Completing between 1 and 10 deliveries per shift
• Transporting bulk loads and general haulage freight
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Carrying out vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Completing delivery paperwork and using POD systems where required
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
• Adhering to all Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Road Transport regulations
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required

Pay Rate

Class 1 HGV Driver (C+E): £17.65 per hour

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• Regular day shifts
• Start times between 05:00 and 07:00
• Ongoing, long-term work
• Full-time hours available

Requirements

To be considered for this HGV driving role, you must have:

• A valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV Licence
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
• Strong communication skills
• A reliable and professional attitude
• No more than 6 points for minor offences (subject to insurance criteria
