We are currently recruiting for HGV1 Drivers for many of our clients based in Ashford, Charing,Hythe, Canterbury and Dover.
The work we have available is supermarket fridge work, general haulage, pallet work, steel shunting and container work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections using the company’s systems
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team and customers to provide excellent service
Pay Rates - £16 - £20ph
Requirements:
- Valid HGV1 (Class 1) driving license.
- Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience in driving HGV1 vehicles
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to handle physical work, some clients may require handballing - using a pallet truck
- Willing to do occasional nights outs
