The Best Connection Eastbourne Branch is currently recruiting for a professional and reliable HGV Class 1 (Cat C+E) Day Driver to support a well-established transport and logistics client based in Hastings.

This role involves completing multi-drop deliveries across the South East, ensuring goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. Ideal for drivers who enjoy a varied workload and providing excellent customer service.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Completing multi-drop deliveries and collections across designated routes.
• Safely transporting goods while ensuring loads remain secure.
• Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects.
• Planning routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries.
• Completing delivery paperwork and PODs accurately.
• Adhering to driver hours, working time regulations, and road safety requirements.
• Providing a professional service when interacting with customers.

Duties may vary depending on operational requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) Licence.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 multi-drop experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of driver hours and transport legislation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work.
• Ability to manage a busy delivery schedule.
