Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver - Night Shift

Pay: £17.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday | Start times from 19:00
Contract Type: Temp to Perm

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-established client based in Tamworth for an experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver to join their growing team on a temp to perm basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV driver looking for consistent weekday night work with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful trial period.

The Role

As a Class 1 (C+E) Driver, you will be responsible for completing trunking operations between depots and distribution centres.

Duties will include:

• Driving a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle safely and efficiently
• Trunking between depots and distribution centres
• Completing trailer swaps
• No handballing required
• No loading or unloading involved
• Completing daily vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
• Ensuring compliance with driver's hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Providing a professional and reliable service

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Minimum 2 year's commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of driver's hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
