CHEF WANTED, DERBY!!

The Best Connection (TBC) are looking for a passionate Chef to join a in‑house canteen in Castle Donington.

This isn't a standard hospitality role. You'll be cooking fresh and healthy lunches for a team on the lunch scheme.

Shifts: 09:00 - 14:00 or 09:30 - 14:30

Pay Rate: £14 p/h

Duration: Temp to Perm Position

Role of a Chef with TBC:

• Preparing and serving healthy, tasty lunches for 30+ team members
• Creating weekly menus that are well balanced, nutritious, and appealing
• Catering for internal functions and special events
• Sourcing quality ingredients and liaising with suppliers
• Managing food orders, stock, and minimising waste
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety
• Working within set budgets and managing food costs
• Completing basic admin tasks such as banking and record keeping

Requirements / Qualifications needed as a Chef with TBC:

• Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
• A genuine passion for healthy, well balanced food
• Experience with menu planning and portion control
• A proactive, flexible, and resourceful approach
