💷 Pay: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)

🕗 Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00

The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of our established manufacturing client for an experienced Capstan Setter to join their skilled engineering team on a permanent basis from day one.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company offering stable, long-term employment with a regular day shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting and operating Capstan lathes.
• Producing high-quality precision components to specification.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Carrying out quality checks using measuring equipment.
• Maintaining machines and ensuring a safe, tidy working environment.
• Working to production targets while maintaining high quality standards.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience setting Capstan lathes is essential.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, motivated and able to work independently.
• Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
