The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician to work at a renowned company in West Bromwich.

Hours of work: Mon-Thu 06:45-17:00 & Friday 07:00-16:30

The weekly hours are negotiable from 40 hrs per week to 48 hrs per week.

Salary: £33,276-£39,912 (Normal grade)

             £35,016-£42,012 (Senior grade)

An additional payment for an Electrical call-in rota system (min £1.6k pa for a 1 in 4 rota) will be added once appropriate site knowledge has been obtained

Duties:

• Maintenance and electrical maintenance work,
• Electrical plant installation and modification work in an industrial environment.
• Carry out inspections.
• Using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
• The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works.
• Work in accordance with the company's health & safety requirements to work the systems.
• Preferably have a good understanding of ATEX.

Ideal candidate: 

Educated to RQF level 3 (e.g. City & Guilds level 3) in a practical Electrical discipline as a minimum.
A recognised Electrical apprenticeship is desired but not essential.
Preferably you would 18th edition electrical wiring regulations but is not essential.
Having a Compex (Ex01-04) & (Ex05-06) qualification would be preferred.
Knowledge of MEWP's would be desired.
