Line Leader & Key Operative Opportunities - Immediate Interviews Available

Due to recent internal team changes, we have two exciting opportunities available with a well-established food production business. These roles offer genuine long-term prospects, structured training, and the opportunity to progress into permanent employment.

We are looking for motivated individuals who can demonstrate leadership qualities, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Working Hours

• 6:00am - 3:00pm
• 5 days per week
• Alternate Saturday working required
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Flexibility required, with regular opportunities to work 45-50 hours per week

Available Roles

Line Leader (Supervisor)

Pay Rate: Up to £14.95 per hour following successful completion of training

The successful candidate will lead a team of between 4 and 12 operatives, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading a team of 4-12 operatives across production areas
• Overseeing packing, grading, glazing and palletising activities
• Maintaining food safety, health & safety and GMP standards
• Training, mentoring and supporting new starters
• Completing production records and stock movement documentation
• Leading area hygiene activities and associated record keeping
• Representing the team at leadership meetings and forums
• Using stock and traceability systems accurately at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience essential
• Food production experience desirable
• Manufacturing or factory experience desirable
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to motivate and develop team members

Key Operative (Junior Leadership Position)

Pay Rate: £13.80 per hour, increasing to £14.20 per hour after 26 weeks

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a leadership role. You will support the Line Leader and take responsibility for smaller teams and key production areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Deputising for the Line Leader when required
• Leading small teams of up to 6 operatives
• Carrying out packing, grading, glazing and palletising tasks
• Maintaining food safety, health & safety and GMP standards
• Supporting the training and development of colleagues
• Completing production and stock records accurately
• Assisting with hygiene standards and compliance
• Using stock and traceability systems accurately

Candidate Requirements

• Leadership experience desirable
• Food processing experience desirable
• Manufacturing or factory experience desirable
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team
