We are seeking a dynamic and driven Administrator with Internal Sales Duties to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling our client’s products and services, while ensuring the smooth and effective running of the branch through assisting with various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and in-person to understand their needs and present the correct company image.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to promote business growth.
  • Achieve budgeted turnover and sales targets, utilising direct mail, special offers, promotions, and cold calling.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls promptly, focusing on hire and sale enquiries.
  • Process all paperwork accurately and timely to support branch operations.
  • Prepare and follow up on hire and sale quotations, striving to secure business for the company.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all company products and services.
  • Book materials into stock and arrange effective transport for deliveries and collections.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Provide marketing information and competitor analysis through weekly reports and meetings.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of proven sales experience in construction or a similar industry.
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant administrative experience in a construction or customer service environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs.
  • Strong initiative and ability to effectively plan and execute tasks.
  • Process-driven with a hands-on approach.
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Person Specification:

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Confident telephone skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Permanent position available for the right candidate after a 12 week period.
