🔧 Trailer Chassis Welder / Fabricator 🔧

💷 £14.53 per hour

🕒 Monday - Thursday | 06:30 - 16:30

📅 4-day working week!

🚛 Overall Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Welder / Fabricator to produce a variety of trailer chassis and parts in line with production plans and quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, strong welding skills, and commitment to health & safety and good housekeeping.

🏗 Key Responsibilities - Chassis / Outriders

🔩 Produce trailer chassis according to engineering drawings

🔥 Ensure high-quality welds, particularly on beam mounting and drawbar structures

📏 Ensure all holes and brackets are positioned correctly - check jigs regularly

💧 Ensure drain holes are in place for galvanising

📐 Confirm finished chassis meet drawing dimensions

🛠 Regularly check equipment and report faults to the Line Manager

🧹 Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times

📋 Carry out any other reasonable duties required

⚙️ Key Responsibilities - Parts Production

🔧 Manufacture trailer chassis parts to specification

🔥 Ensure consistent, high-quality welds

📏 Produce parts using engineering drawings and jigs

🔁 Ensure parts of the same type are identical and interchangeable

🛠 Report equipment faults to the Maintenance Supervisor

🧹 Maintain tidy work areas and follow Health & Safety procedures

📦 Work with materials handlers to maintain parts stock levels in welding bays

📋 Carry out any other reasonable duties required
