We are currently recruiting Aviation Logistics Assistant to support airline catering and transport services for a leading global aviation catering provider. Working as part of a dedicated operational team, you will help ensure catering equipment, supplies, and onboard products are delivered safely and efficiently to aircraft operating from London Gatwick Airport.

Working Pattern

Shift Rotation: 5 Days On / 3 Days Off

Working Hours: Day shifts between 03:00 and 18:00

Location: Crawley (Manor Royal) with duties operating within London Gatwick Airport

The Role

As an Aviation Logistics Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting aircraft turnaround operations by assisting with the movement, loading, and handling of airline catering equipment and supplies.

Working alongside drivers, loaders, and operational teams, you will help ensure flights depart on time while maintaining strict aviation safety, security, and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

Aircraft Catering Support

• Assist with the loading and unloading of catering products, equipment, and airline supplies
• Support aircraft servicing activities in line with operational schedules
• Ensure catering items are delivered accurately according to flight requirements
• Transfer inbound equipment and catering materials to designated processing areas

Security & Compliance

• Carry out vehicle and security inspections in accordance with airport procedures
• Follow aviation security regulations and company operating standards
• Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety requirements
• Report any operational, safety, or security concerns promptly

Operational Duties

• Handle and move airline equipment and service carts safely
• Assist with stock movement and equipment preparation
• Maintain clean, organised, and safe working areas
• Support multiple departments to meet operational demands
• Work efficiently to support on-time flight departures

Candidate Requirements

Essential

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Ability to work in a physically active environment
• Flexible and reliable approach to shift work
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Desirable

• Previous experience within logistics, warehouse, transport, aviation, catering, or operational environments
• Experience working to deadlines in a fast-paced setting
• Understanding of health & safety procedures
