Our client based in Tamworth requires an experienced Assembly Technician. Possible permanent positions following a successful trial period. Duties as an Assembly Technician include wiring and assembly of company's machinery including Control panel wiring and mechanical assembly/fitting.
Key Areas of Responsibility for an Assembly Technician:
- To undertake the assembly and manufacture of Ascott parts & assemblies to the point where they are complete machines and ready for test.
- Control Panel Assembly and Wiring.
- Mechanical fitting and assembly of parts, sub-assemblies and finished machine
- Finishing and Packaging of finished machines
- Wiring of chamber
- Testing of chamber using instructions provided.
- Self inspection of finished items using laid down methodology.
- Improve assembly methods and practices to reduce costs and minimise waste.
- Ensure quality work produced to minimise non-conformities.
- Ensure provided Work Instructions and methods are adhered to the letter.
- Ensure tidiness, cleanliness and standards of ‘housekeeping’ in own work area and throughout the workshop.
- Training of other employees as required.
- Picking and packing of Spares Orders.
- Any supportive task for production that the employee is capable of.
Our client offers for an Assembly Technician:
- Monday – Thursday: 7.45am - 5.00pm & Friday: 7am – 12pm
- £14.93 per hour
- Overtime available paying £22.40ph
