Job Title: 7.5T (C1) Driver

Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour standard / £21.75 per hour after 8 hours
Times and Days of Work: Monday to Friday

The Best Connection is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a 7.5T (C1) Driver to join a well-known windows and doors manufacturer based in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced driver to secure ongoing, long-term work delivering windows and doors with a structured workload of no more than 3 drops per day. Please note, this role does involve handball.

About the Role

This position involves driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle delivering windows and doors to customer sites. Drivers can expect well-planned routes with a maximum of 3 drops per day. Handball is required as part of this role, and the successful candidate must be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Driving a 7.5T (C1) vehicle
• Delivering windows and doors to customer sites (maximum 3 drops per day)
• Handballing and assisting with unloading products at delivery points
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Adhering to all health & safety and road traffic regulations
• Providing a professional level of customer service

What We're Looking For:

• Valid C1 (7.5T) driving licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience driving 7.5T vehicles
• Ability to carry out manual handling and handball
• Good knowledge of UK road networks
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused attitude
