The Best Connection Sheffield is recruiting experienced 7.5 Tonne (C1) Drivers on behalf of a well-established engineering business specialising in machine knife sharpening services.

If you're looking for ongoing work, weekly pay, full paid training and a permanent opportunity after just 12 weeks, this could be the perfect role for you.

The Role

This is a varied driving position offering a combination of 7.5 Tonne (C1) and company van driving.

Your working pattern:

• Week 1: 3-4 days driving a 7.5 Tonne vehicle with the remaining days driving a company van.
• Week 2: Company van duties before returning to the 7.5 Tonne vehicle the following week.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Nationwide collections and deliveries
• Deliveries to long-established steelworks and industrial customers
• Loading and unloading products
• Manual handling where required (many customer sites use overhead cranes to assist)
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks
• Maintaining high standards of customer service
• Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately
• Driving safely and in accordance with company procedures

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A valid UK C1 (7.5 Tonne) Driving Licence
• Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous multi-drop or delivery driving experience is desirable
• A positive and professional attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A strong work ethic and willingness to undertake manual handling
