Apprenticeships FAQs
Apprenticeships provide a practical path into the workforce, combining hands-on experience with targeted training that leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
As an apprentice recruitment consultant at The Best Connection, you’ll gain valuable skills and knowledge while earning, making it an excellent alternative to traditional learning routes like college or university.
Apprenticeships are an alternative to college. The level 3 apprenticeships offered at The Best Connection are equivalent to A Levels. During an apprenticeship, you will combine on-the-job training in your branch location with more traditional learning activities including training sessions, eLearning and workshops. You will also have a dedicated learning and development consultant to help you throughout your journey, allowing you to grow professionally.
The Best Connection is an approved and experienced apprenticeship provider. We understand the value an apprenticeship brings in preparing you for your role at The Best Connection and in developing your industry knowledge.
Anyone can embark on an apprenticeship. Whether you are looking for a career change or a promising career after school or college, then an apprenticeship could be right for you. Apprenticeships are a great route for you to kickstart your career. Remember, it is a job and you will need to apply and then go through an interview process.
Applications for The Best Connection apprenticeships are now open. If you are interested in applying or finding out more, please contact our Talent Team today on 0121 504 3129.
Unlike colleges and universities that have enrolment dates, you can apply for an apprenticeship at The Best Connection at any time.
None! No prior qualifications are needed to start an apprenticeship with us (not even Maths and English!) If you would like to complete the apprenticeship and you don’t have those qualifications, we provide 1-2-1 support to help you achieve them.
At The Best Connection, we offer the following apprenticeships:
- Customer Service Level 2
- Business Administration Level 3
- Recruitment Services Level 3

The apprenticeship programme typically lasts between 12 to 15 months.
As an Apprentice, you will work full-time in a branch on a permanent contract of employment with a guaranteed job at the end of your training. Around 20% of your time will be spent undertaking training activities including shadowing more experienced staff, training sessions, workshops, self-study, projects, research activities, one to one coaching and eLearning.
Unlike many traditional job roles and schemes, prior experience or qualifications are not required as you will gain these throughout your apprenticeship journey. If you did not achieve certification in Mathematics or English at school, we can help you get up to speed with functional skills in both subjects at level 2 which is equivalent to a grade C.
We are delighted to have been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating following our Ofsted review – the highest possible rating! You can read the full report here: The Best Connection Group Limited – Open – Find an Inspection Report – Ofsted.
