FLT / Warehouse Operative

The Best Connection (Newcastle) are currently recruiting for Counter Balance FLT Operatives to work on a continental work pattern for a company based on the Team Valley, Gateshead.

The business is very strict in regard to hygiene as they deal with food produce. The site has a strict no smoking policy, so workers must not smoke during the full 12 hour shift.

The role:

• Operating Counter Balance FLT to perform standard warehouse tasks
• Loading and unloading vehicles, picking stock and general house keeping
• Manual handling activities such as (but not limited to) pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying will be required
• Navigating through small spaces and tight areas
• Abide to company Health and Safety policies

The candidate:

• Valid and in date Counter Balance FLT licence (not in-house)
• Must have FLT experience in a warehouse environment
• Physically fit as the role will involve manual handling
• Able to work under own initiative or part of a team

Hours of work and pay:

• Continental working pattern
• You will follow a rota which provides your shifts well in advance
• Days - 6am till 6pm
• Nights - 6pm till 6am
• £12.00 per hour flat rate (increases to £12.50 per hour after successful completion of induction period)
