FLT Stock Controller

The Best Connection are delighted to be supporting our client who is looking for a Warehouse Stock Checker with FLT Reach truck driver for their site in Chesterfield.

You must have experience with FLT Reach (in-house licence or experience will be accepted)
37.50 Hour week.
Rotating weeks 6am-2.30pm and 2.30pm-10.30 pm Monday to Thursday Friday days 6am to 10am and after's 9am to 1pm

The overall objective of Role?

To operate a Forklift truck within the warehouse and perform stock control duties:

You will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, and stack stock. Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform other duties in the warehouse as required. Must have experience using a Reach Forklift Truck as you will be picking and stacking up to 8 x meters high. 50% of the work required will be use of the Reach Forklift Truck the other duties will be packing, loading and unloading vehicles, checking in/out stock, regular stock checks and counting stock. Some labour intense work, and general housekeeping duties.

Primary Duties:

• Start of day safety checks on the FLT being used and completion of report(s) *
• Checking and putting away stock.
• Moving stock for Replenishment using pick sheets
• Check the deliveries against paperwork.
• Order picking as required using the reach forklift truck/manual work.
• Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
• Lifting and moving stock manually
• Use of computer systems

• Highly organised and good attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of stock handling/warehousing
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Work well as part of a team.
• High level of numeracy
• Excellent planning skills in order to meet required deadlines, ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate a pro-active 'can do attitude.
• Experience of using picking system (computer literacy essential)
• Must be able to lift heavy products
