The Best Connection to hold free seminar on staffing implications of Brexit for Businesses and Employers in Hull
Date: 24th Tuesday, September, 2019
Employment business, The Best Connection, is holding a seminar on the implications of Brexit for businesses employing EU workers. The event, which is free to attend, is being held on Tuesday 8th October 2019, 10.30am-2pm, at The Hallmark Hotel, North Ferriby, Hull, HU14 3LG and is open to local businesses.
As one of the UK’s largest providers of temporary labour to the industrial, driving and warehousing & distribution sectors, The Best Connection supports a significant EU Nationals workforce and has been running a successful communications plan. A recent survey undertaken by the company revealed that EU Nationals still need further guidance on the UK Settlement Scheme process which secures their legal right of residency.
“Many employers in the region are dependent on EU nationals to support their business operations. Uncertainty around the future relationship with the EU is causing some concern over staffing implications so we thought we would share our understanding and initiatives with local employers to help in their preparations,” says Neil Yorke, Director, The Best Connection.
The presentation is being delivered by The Best Connection’s Brexit ambassador, Alex Dirman, who is a Project Manager in the Onsite Connection team at The Best Connection. Alex is a Romanian citizen who has been living in the UK for the past six years and understands how important it is to be informed on this subject.
We are holding a Brexit & EU Residency presentation exclusively for local companies that have genuine concerns over staffing post-Brexit. The Best Connection has been conducting research that will be helpful to those businesses concerned about a labour shortfall and how to mitigate this,” said Alex Dirman, Brexit Coordinator, The Best Connection.
Employers wishing to attend the event should contact their local branch of The Best Connection to secure a space.
