Date: 1st Saturday, December, 2018
Flexible workforce solutions business, The Best Connection, has achieved a milestone in its history as it celebrates its 20th year in the City of Coventry. Over this period the company has been supporting local people with temporary work assignments in businesses across the industrial, manufacturing, engineering, logistics and warehouse sectors.
“The Best Connection Coventry is one of our long-established branches in the West Midlands that was opened seven years after we launched the business in 1991 from Birmingham. During that time we have seen and lived the changing business landscape and have remained committed to finding local job opportunities for local people,” said Neil Yorke, Director, The Best Connection.
The office is located at 50 Hertford Street in the city centre close to the Lady Godiva statue, where it operates an industrial and a driving team of eight consultants who place, on average, over 250 workers a day across 60 customers.
Senior Manager, Andy Presley, who began his career with The Best Connection in the industrial division at Coventry 17 years ago, said: “The team are committed to supporting local businesses and can be very proud of what has been achieved over the past two decades, having secured thousands of temporary workers permanent positions in local companies.”
Over the past five years, due to an influx of logistics and warehouse development businesses coupled with Coventry’s central geographical location and transport links, reliance on the traditional automotive and manufacturing sectors has shifted, leading to more and varied roles being fulfilled by the branch.
