The Best Connection nurtures legal talent

Date: 12th Thursday, March, 2015

Birmingham’s Oliver Darley-Usmar has successfully qualified as a Solicitor after two years of ‘on the job’ training with flexible workforce solutions business, The Best Connection.

The in-house training programme, which was run at the company’s Legal Services Department in Bromsgrove, covered on-the-job assignments including Commercial Property, Employment Law, Civil Litigation and Debt and Contracts law.

“I studied at the University of Birmingham graduating in 2010 with an LLB (Bachelor degree in Law).  I then took the Legal Practise Course (LPC) which is a postgraduate qualification requirement if you wish to become a Solicitor, followed by two years on the job training called a Training Contract which I have taken at The Best Connection.  After completing all this I qualified this year,” said Oliver.

The Best Connection invests heavily in training programmes across the organisation covering sales, management and more specialised roles and has a large and established training department.

“We are delighted for Oliver.  He has worked very hard and has become a valued member of the team.  The Best Connection is totally committed to training as it allows the business to ensure that we have the skill sets and knowledge that makes our workforce stand out in our sector.  We value personal development and try to get the best from all our employees,” said Neil Yorke, director, The Best Connection.
