Workshop Operative Role

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive Workshop Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, good attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate across various workstations within the workshop as directed by team leaders.
  • Carry out cleaning, basic maintenance, and safe operation of machinery (following training).
  • Adhere to strict Health & Safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Perform quality checks on products throughout the production process.
  • Report any faults or issues with equipment or production to supervisors immediately.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Follow production schedules and prioritise tasks effectively.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a workshop, warehouse or production setting preferred.
  • Basic understanding of machinery operation and maintenance (training provided).
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Able to follow instructions accurately and work independently when needed.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
