The Best Connection Chesterfield are recruiting for Welder/Fabricators for one of our clients.

As a Welder/Fabricator you will be carrying out production welding on both Mild and Stainless Steel – 4mm to 30mm to aid in the manufacture of wagons and containers. All welds will be undertaken in the standard position with the majority of work being 6/8mm fillet and butt welds and some multi-runs.

Alongside this, candidates will also be expected to undertake onsite codings as required by the business

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday 07:15 to 16:00, Friday 07:15 to 15:00

Essential Experience:

• Previous MIG welding experience – Stainless and Mild Steel
• Able to complete all preparation work
• Be able to complete Test bars (codings) to meet the requirements of the role
• Be able to work safely in an industrial environment
• Be able to follow verbal and written work instructions
• Ability to set and use welding equipment
• Must be an experienced welder – previous codings being highly advantageous

Desirable Experience:

• Previous coded welding experience
• Large industrial welding experience
• Rail / structural / plant repair experience
