The Best Connection Bedford are currently recruiting Production Operatives for our long term client that produces ingredients for an international fast food chain. Working within an experienced team, successful candidates will be provided with full training on the process from start to finish with regular opportunities to develop and gain a permanent contract after successful trial period.
Job Duties:
- Load and unload stock from the goods in/goods out and production areas
- Operate Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck Forklift truck to move stock around the warehouse
- Adhere to all health and safety and food safety procedures in the warehouse, including allergen controls
- Use in-house software packages to maintain accurate stock control and delivery/dispatch arrangements
- Work collaboratively with warehouse management and production teams to ensure smooth operation of warehouse and storage areas.
- Carry out general housekeeping and warehouse duties as required.
Requirements of the Warehouse/FLT Operative
- Must hold in-date valid Reach Truck or Counterbalance Fork lift truck license, certificates are required.
- Previous experience working in a high volume warehouse desirable
- Some flexibility with shift patterns required to fit in with business needs
- excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
Working hours (40 hours per week)
- Monday to Friday, Shifts are 06.00 - 14.00hrs or 14.00 - 22.00hrs rotating though some flexibility is possible.
Pay Rates:
- £12.25 per hours then £13.17 per hour after 13 weeks.
- Overtime rates are £18.38 per hour after 40 hrs
