Job: Van Driver/Drivers Mate

Location: Crawley, RH6

Pay: £13.00

The Best Connection Employment Group are currently seeking temp to perm van drivers/drivers mate for one of our clients in Crawley. The successful candidates will possess a current and valid Cat B driver’s license.   This is a customer facing role, working as both a driver and drivers mate.  This role requires VERY heavy lifting.  

You'll be working in a split role aiding with the drivers mates duties when the van isn't required and a larger vehicle is.   As a driver you will be operating with a drivers mate. Our client is nationally renowned for delivering quality bedroom furniture and service looking for drivers to integrate within their tight knit team. 

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday: 05:00 -15:30 but finish times may vary. 

Rate of Pay:

£13.00 PAYE

Responsibilities of the Van Drivers:

• Delivery & Placement of bedroom furniture. 
• Driving the provided 3.5 tonne Luton van safely and adhering to the rules of the road.
• Operating as a drivers mate with the HGV driver.
• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
• Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.

Requirements of the CAT B Driver:

• Full UK Category B Licence.
• No DD/DR Endorsements. 
   

Due to the location and start times own transport is required.
