***** MUST HAVE PREVIOUS TRANSPORT PLANNING EXPERIENCE *****

The Best Connection is looking to recruit an experienced transport planner for one our clients located in Scunthorpe.

This will be an ongoing position that will lead to a full-time position for the right candidate after 12 weeks.

The hours of work will be a daily rotation of  06:00AM - 15:00PM & 10:00AM - 18:00PM, plus you will be required to work every OTHER Saturday 06:00AM - 12:00PM.

Job duties will include but are not limited to:

Organise and plan transportation routes for timely delivery of goods
Communicate with drivers, suppliers, and customers to coordinate deliveries
Monitor transportation costs and work towards cost optimisation
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
Utilise computer systems to track shipments and update information accurately
Manage inventory levels to meet customer demands
Provide excellent customer service by addressing enquiries and resolving issues promptly
