The Best Connection Wakefield Branch are currently recruiting for our client based in LS25 who are an organic waste company dedicated to the full recovery, processing and treatment of organic liquids and solids. They are currently looking for a highly motivated Transport Manager to ensure vehicle & driver compliance of their transport services. This is a permanent position working Mon – Fri 7.00 am to 17.00 pm with the occasional Saturday.
Controlling tachograph reports and records.
Maintaining vehicle and driver compliance in accordance with UK regulations.
Calculating and recording driver’s hours.
Maintaining fleet records.
Updating driver’s records in compliance with company regulations.
Planning driver’s routes.
Dealing with customer service situations.
Working in line with SSOW at all times.
Dealing with bookings and Weighbridge operations.
Skills and experience required:
Routing and organising vehicles & driver compliance
Networking (Back loads).
Experience in a yard environment.
Experience in co-ordinating both inbound and outbound haulage.
IT/PC skills and excellent MS office knowledge are essential
Customer service experience dealing with clients & drivers in a calm manner.
Experience with planning & distribution software with attention to detail.
Experience with investigation, DP process, and health and safety risk assessments.
National & International transport manager CPC
IOSHH or the ability to work towards this qualification.
