Transport Coordinator / Administrator – Aldridge
Salary: £12 per hour
Hours: 07:30 - 16:30 (Monday to Friday)
The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of our client in Aldridge for a Transport Coordinator / Administrator to support the smooth running of the logistics operation. This is a key role ensuring the efficient transportation of bespoke orders and related goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Regional Logistics Manager to maximise vehicle utilisation and efficiency.
- Plan deliveries and collections for your designated Service Centres.
- Allocate drivers to the daily logistics plan, ensuring they have all the required information.
- Manage compliance, ensuring all abnormal load movements adhere to C&U regulations.
- Maintain vehicle upkeep in line with O Licence requirements and liaise with the Compliance team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party hauliers.
- Monitor performance reports, communicating infringements and implementing remedial actions.
- Support the logistics team in maximising delivery options and minimising costs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of transport compliance and health & safety regulations.
- Experience in logistics, transport, or similar roles is an advantage.
- A team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
