The Best Connection are working with our client in Darlington. Our client manufactures high quality kitchens and the role involves completing deliveries to depots across the country. They have a requirement for LGV C+E (HGV Class 1) Tramper Drivers.
These positions are offered on an ongoing temporary basis.
The role:
- Operate a Class 1 vehicle to specific area making deliveries, product pick up etc. Completing deliveries as per job sheet and Tramping out.
- Complete pre and post operation vehicle checks in line with company policies - reporting any defects.
- Follow assigned delivery schedule and liaise with transport team regarding progess, issues etc.
- Full induction will be required including a driving assessment
- Will involve driving into London to complete drops
The Candidate:
- Valid and in date LGV C+E (Class 1) Driver
- Ideally minimum of 1 year LGV C+E driving experience
- Must have clean licence with no DD, DR, IND10 convictions
- Valid and indate CPC & Digi Card
- Flexible attitude to work
- Smart appearance with positive attitude to customer care
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hours of work:
- Standard working week Monday to Friday.
- Shift start time varies - an earliest start of 04.00am (could be 04.30am or 05.00am etc)
Pay Rate:
- £15.14 per hour (PAYE) basic rate for first 50 hours
- £22.71 per hour overtime after 50 hours worked
- £25 per night night out allowance
