Our client, based in Yardley, a market leader in waste containers and bar and hotel equipment is looking for a Team Leader ( Despatch Supervisor). Rate of pay £9.00 per hour. Working 08:00 to 17:00 hours Monday to Friday The site is easily accessible by public transport. Possible permanent position following successful trial period.

General duties and requirements will include:

  • You are required to comply with all company health and safety requirements and can conduct them in a manner that does not compromise the safety of themselves, colleagues or visitors to site
  • To help implement the Warehouse Management System
  • To manage peaks and troughs of workflow with members of staff (Agency Requirements)
  • To carry out other reasonable duties ad directed by other manager's
  • To make sure your team maintains picking bays in a tidy manner
  • To make sure your team ensure stock is kept in a tidy condition and any defective stock is reported
  • To supervise the Despatch Department team and direct them accordingly
  • To administer all Picking Notes
  • To ensure all customer orders are despatched within agreed timescales
  • To ensure all employees' adhere to the Company's Despatch procedure
  • To provide training and development activity as and when required
  • To represent the company to all outside contacts in a professional manner such that provides an image of the business that they would feel comfortable to be associated with
  • To provide the direction to the Despatch team, in processing customer orders
  • Co-operate, co-ordinate and communicate with all other Department Managers to achieve targets and common goals
  • To ensure all customers' demands are met
  • To liaise with carriers to ensure customer demands are met
  • To liaise with Transport companies to make sure companies demands are met
  • To highlight any transport discrepancies to the sales department or stores department
  • To note any stock discrepancies and report these to warehouse/stock supervisor
  • To advise Sales office of any stock discrepancies so these can be reported to customers
  • In the event of the absence Senior Management, to make simple decisions relating to customers orders on a day to day basis
  • To maintain staffing levels with the approval of a Director
