Pay

£13.71 + £1.50 per hour attendance bonus

Working Hours

07:30am - 16:30pm

Duties

• Building cages by tying/welding steel reinforcement bars
• Fabricating steel reinforcements like footing pads, beams, or special units
• Following engineering or technical plans to set out the work area
• Collaborating with engineering designers, and construction workers
• Determining the required materials for a project based on the building plans
• Using power and hand tools to perform daily activities including to bend and cut mesh or bars
• Reading and interpreting technical specifications and blueprints
• Measuring and cutting steel bars correctly
• Bending and laying out steel bars, rods, and mesh as per the specifications
• Joining steel bars using fitting spacers and by welding
• Setting up and positioning steel bars, plates, and other steel units

Benefits & Requirements:

• Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
• 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)

• Possible permanent position following a successful trial period
