NPI Quality and Yield Improvement Engineer
Location: Swindon (Royal Wootton Bassett)
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Salary: £35,000 - £43,000

About the Role
The Best Connection are seeking an experienced Quality and Yield Engineer to join our clients team. You will be responsible for analysing and improving manufacturing yield data, collaborating with fab partners and internal teams to resolve yield issues early in the production process. This role requires technical expertise and close coordination with design, test engineering, project managers, and supply chain teams.
Key Responsibilities

Perform statistical analysis to identify yield trends and improvement opportunities.

Work with design and test engineers to pinpoint root causes of yield issues and implement solutions.

Lead process control initiatives to improve quality, cost, and production yield.

Oversee and enhance yield data procedures at fab partners, ensuring reliability.

Monitor schedules, costs, risks, and yield improvement activities.

Develop in-line measurement plans and drive yield enhancement projects.

Recommend corrective actions, share best practices, and maintain process documentation.
Requirements

3+ years of experience in NPI, yield engineering, or quality troubleshooting in semiconductor processing.

Strong knowledge of CMOS technology and semiconductor processes.

Experience with FMEA, SPC, GR&R, MSA, and problem-solving techniques (8D, 5-Why, Pareto analysis).

Proficiency in JMP, Minitab, Python, or MATLAB for data analysis.

Experience working with fab partners, design, and test teams.

Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
