Vehicle Inspector / Quality Controller – Job Description
As a Vehicle Inspector/Technician, you will be part of a skilled and supportive workshop team, ensuring all vehicles are completed to the highest possible standard for our customers. Working under the supervision of the Workshop Supervisor and Manager, you will carry out inspections, diagnostics, and repairs with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect assigned vehicles to assess if safety or maintenance work is required
- Accurately document all recommended work on the corresponding repair order
- Conduct road tests to help identify faults or confirm completed repairs
- Perform diagnostics and carry out a range of mechanical repairs to a high standard
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and assist with complex diagnoses as needed
- Support additional workshop tasks and ad-hoc bookings as required
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Inspector or Technician
- Full UK Driving Licence, with the ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently, using sound judgment when making repair decisions
- Passionate about the motor industry and dedicated to maintaining excellent customer standards
