The Best Connection is looking for  highly motivated QA Team Leader.

This key role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards in food safety, hygiene, and quality compliance in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

Hours: Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain all aspects of Quality Assurance systems and documentation in line with the Quality Manual.
• Manage site KPIs and quarterly objectives, reporting progress to the Technical Director.
• Coordinate and support both internal and external site audits.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
• Supervise QA staff, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and ongoing development.
• Manage and monitor pest control procedures in collaboration with external contractors.
• Ensure compliance with all Critical Control Points (CCPs) as outlined in the HACCP plan.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure equipment is clean, well-maintained, and correctly calibrated.
• Uphold the 'clean as you go' policy and ensure hygiene standards are consistently met.
• Provide KPI and compliance reports to the Management Team.
• Assist DEFRA inspectors during unannounced inspections.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld within the QA department.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous experience in a Quality Assurance or QA supervisory role, preferably in the food manufacturing or packaging industry.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety standards, and audit procedures.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage documentation and produce accurate KPI reports.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of Health & Safety in a production environment.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle unannounced audits.
