Our client based in South Leicester are looking for a Production Technician to start immediately. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 08.00 - 17.00 and Friday 08.00 - 13.00. This role pays £18.19 per hour with overtime available paying up to £36.38 per hour and offers excellent working conditions within a forward thinking people focused company and an excellent opportunity for permanent employment following a successful trial period.

General Responsibilities

• Production equipment maintenance and calibration
• Testing of new production equipment
• Modifying work instructions and procedures for production
• Support production with technical support
• Participate in the organisation of goods inwards inspection and compile reports of measurements taken
• Input other Quality Assurance tasks.

Experience / Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification and work experience within a practical engineering environment
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills, oral, written and presentation
• Robust organisation, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Understanding of electrical / electronic fault finding. Use of multi-meters and or Oscilloscopes
• Fault finding skills to fix custom machinery
• Interpreting engineering drawings, BOM`s and build documentation
